End Gun Violence Michigan Lobby Day

Registration is closed for this event
We'll be demanding VOTES on legislation that will save lives, including safe storage, universal background checks, mental health support for schools, and critical reforms. __________________________________________________________________________

From big cities like Detroit to small towns like Oxford, gun violence is impacting all of our communities. Yet, for too long, the legislature has refused to take action to protect our children and communities.

The legislature is now at least discussing gun measures through a task force. We're hosting a lobby day on April 13 to make sure that the politicians know where we stand. It's time for them to hear from us about the urgent need for safe storage, universal background checks, and banning guns at government buildings.

This is an important step. We want to make sure that we exhaust every last conversation with the legislature before we decide to launch a ballot initiative.

Sign up, and you'll receive training on how to talk about the issues and share your story with your representative. Don't worry, you won't be alone either-- we'll match you with a team of leaders to handle the meeting together. We'll handle logistics and make sure that everyone has a great experience.

Training will be held virtually the evening of April 7.

The BEST way to participate is to be in Lansing. But we know that not everyone is ready to be in person or able to travel. So you can attend meetings via Zoom as well.

Meetings will typically take place for 30-45 minutes between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
